Pavarotti in South Africa 1996

Famed tenor, Luciano Pavarotti, embarked on a tour to South Africa in 1996 performing for audiences in two of the largest stadiums in the country. Both concerts, in Johannesburg and Cape Town, were sold out and Nelson Mandela was one of the many special guests that attended.

Craig Beyrooti was running the Johannesburg based 8th Avenue Sound at the time which supplied and coordinated the local audio requirements for both events. The shows were very well received and went a long way to enhancing the reputation of the already highly respected audio company, and Craig Beyrooti as a designer and systems engineer.  2021 marks the the 25th anniversary of that tour.
