Lazarus Kgagudi - If You Don’t Know Me

“If You Don’t Know Me” was released in 1989, the same year as Lazarus Kgagudi 3. Recorded and mixed by Craig Beyrooti at 8th Avenue Studios in Johannesburg, Lazi’s album had backing by the musicians of Step Ahead. The record was produced by Phiri Motale, synth player of Step Ahead. Izzyboy Masedi provided some backing vocals. 2024 marks the 35th anniversary of the record.  Stand out tracks include “Xipitifaya”, “Bua” and “I’ll Never Give You Up”.
